As innkeepers
we see ourselves as service providers in the truest sense of
the word. Thus, your needs and wishes are a top priority at
the Pension Moarhof. We will try our utmost to satisfy the demands
of our guests to the best of our ability and knowledge.
The core of every inn lies within its array of culinary offerings.
For the longest time, Terenten was considered the bread-basket
of the Puster Valley. In the course of time, the golden wheat
fields have given way to lush green meadows. What remained,
however, is a culinary tradition marked by the rivalry of two
cultures: The melting pot South Tyrol, where southern-Mediterranean
and alpine-continental cuisine meets, provides you with unique
culinary delights.
Naturally you
can expect this wonderful array of flavors from the Mediterranean
Sea and the Alps at the Pension Moarhof. And certainly
you can look forward to finding the traditional rye bread or
the South Tyrolean bacon smoked with juniper berries at our
vast breakfast buffet every morning.
Above all, you can select from a large array of Italian dishes,
which we interpret in the South Tyrolean style.
An ancient Tyrolean
saying says:
"Dumplings, gnocchi, noodles, polenta, are the four Tyrolean
elements."
South Tyrol, a land of extremes and thus also a land of diversity.
This diversity is reflected in the dishes and meals you will
enjoy at our inn.
"Come in, bring
joy with you, because alone surrounded by cold stone you will
find no joy."(Traditional Tyrolean house blessing)
It's not only the building that counts; it is the
people within who give the house a unique atmosphere. This is
why you will experience tradition, constancy and kindness in
our house at every turn.
The spacious dining room has a Southern exposure and is warmed
all day long. Thus it cheerfully invites you for a cozy stay
in the evenings. The lounge offers additional space for unhurried
get-togethers. And don't forget about the roomy, family-friendly
rooms you can withdraw to after an eventful day and take a relaxing
shower.
